Somewhere along the way, everyone became thrilled to announce.
Promotions. Fundraises. “Humbled” award acceptances. Feeds full of wins, engineered for envy. Meanwhile the actual texture of a working life — the rejections, the flops, the startup that quietly didn’t — got edited out.
LinkedOut is the edit restored. Here, you post the L. The rejection email. The demo that crashed. The text that got a “k.” And instead of pity, you get congratulated — because surviving a proper L is more of an achievement than most wins.
The rules are short: be honest, punch at yourself (not others), and clap for people having a worse week than you.
Sparked by a post from @arhamshaikhh: “There should be an anti linkedin app where everyone posts their L’s and we congratulate them for it.” So we built it.
